We are excited to announce an open call for core members to join the heart of our thriving community. As we strive to foster professional growth, share knowledge, and enhance the field of Research Project Management, we invite you to step forward and play a pivotal role in shaping our future.
Why Join as a Core Member?
- Influence the Development and Direction of Our Community: Help shape the initiatives and strategies that drive our group forward.
- Enhance Your Professional Network: Collaborate with like-minded peers and expand your professional connections.
- Gain Leadership Experience: Contribute to your professional development by taking on leadership roles within our community.
- Make a Meaningful Impact: Play a key role in advancing the field of Research Project Management.
Core Members: The Driving Force
As a core member, you are not just part of our community; you are at the forefront of it! Core members are expected to:
- Participate in Monthly Meetings: Strategize, plan, and drive initiatives forward.
- Contribute Actively to One of Our Four Dynamic Working Groups:
- Professional Development: Organize webinars and events that facilitate learning, networking, and professional growth. Last year, this group arranged several webinars and has five more planned for this year, including an introduction lecture to all stages of the post-award project lifecycle.
- Surveys and Studies: Lead and conduct surveys and studies that shed light on trends, challenges, and opportunities within our field. The survey team created a survey and has written one publication from it, with 3-4 more in the pipeline.
- Communication: Spearhead our communication efforts to ensure our community stays connected, informed, and engaged. This group has been responsible for regular postings on our LinkedIn community page, organizing monthly cafes, and is looking forward to launching our own website with a webinar archive and tools repository.
- Certification: Develop and implement a certification scheme for Research Project Managers. This team is working on creating certification criteria, assessment methods, and training materials to validate the skills and knowledge of professionals in our field.
- Elect the Chairing Trio for the Next Period.
Time Commitment
Active participation as a core member requires a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per month. This includes attending monthly meetings, contributing to working group activities, and actively engaging in community initiatives.
Eligibility and Commitment
To join as a core member, you must be willing to engage and contribute actively. We expect all core members to actively participate and contribute to the success of our initiatives. Working Group Leaders and Chairs must be EARMA members.
How to Apply
If you are passionate about Research Project Management and eager to contribute your skills and insights to our community, we want to hear from you. Please email us a brief statement on why you want to join the core group, your background and current affiliation, as well as your preferred working group and backup group to earma.papm@gmail.com. We will approve new core members based on the balance of the working groups as well as the background of the applicants.
